Volume charge density, surface charge density and line charge density
Volume charge density is the amount of charge per unit volume in a given region. It is represented by the symbol ρ (rho) and is measured in coulombs per cubic meter (C/m³).
Line charge density refers to the amount of charge per unit length along a line or wire. It is represented by the symbol λ (lambda) and is measured in coulombs per meter (C/m).
Surface charge density refers to the amount of charge per unit area on the surface of an object or a conductor. It is represented by the symbol σ (sigma) and is measured in coulombs per square meter (C/m²).
